2027 PROCURA+ AWARDS

The application phase for the 2027 Procura+ Awards is now open. This year participants can submit applications in three categories:

• Sustainable Procurement of the Year: This category will reward both procurements and initiatives which integrate and combine any of the environmental, economic, circular and social aspects of sustainability. It will aim to highlight public authorities which promote a  holistic approach to implementing public procurement. Please note that this category is for European public authorities only.
• Innovation Procurement of the Year: This category will reward both procurements and initiatives which use innovative approaches in their purchasing practices, as well  as public authorities that serve as a launching customer, fostering innovation by purchasing cutting-edge products, services and works to drive sustainable development and foster innovation. Please, note that this category is for European public authorities only.
• Global Initiative of the Year: Following the successful introduction of this category last year, the Global Initative of the Year goes beyond Europe and seeks to showcase good practices globally. It will focus on global outstanding public procurement initiatives, such as programmes, policies, actions, guidance and tools that contribute towards strategic, sustainable, circular and innovation procurement. Only applications from outside Europe will be considered for this category.

The 2027 Procura+ Awards will be assessed by a jury of procurement experts and policy makers: The jury will be revealed soon. 

2027 Procura+ Awards Ceremony

The winners and runners-up of the 2027 Procura+ Awards will be announced during a special ceremony at the Procura+ Conference, taking place in the City of Barcelona from 16-19 February 2027. More information about the Conference can be found here. Registration and programme info will be announced soon.

Elligibility criteria

• Any public or semi-public authority can apply (within the meaning of Directive 2014/24/EC or Contracting Entity within the meaning of Directive 2014/25/EC, located in any EU Member State, EEA country or EU candidate or accession country). You do not need to be a Procura+ participant to enter the competition.
• Relevant timeline: Initiatives active and tenders awarded between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2025.
• Previously submitted procurements or initiatives that have not been awarded, can be resubmitted provided that they have undergone significant changes.
